Wasp nests removed, not just knocked down

Knocking a nest down makes the colony aggressive and they rebuild in the same spot. Kinder Safe treats the colony, removes the nest and treats the void so they do not come back.

What wasp removal includes

Paper wasps, yellow jackets, hornets and mud daubers.

Nest located

Eaves, soffits, grills, playsets, sheds, meter boxes and inside wall voids.

Colony treated first

Treatment goes in before removal, so the wasps do not scatter and sting.

Nest removed

Physical removal, so the comb does not attract a new colony or stain the wall.

Return site treated

The spot is treated because wasps reuse the same sheltered corner year after year.

How a wasp call goes

1

Tell us where it is

Height and location change the approach. Nests in a wall void are handled differently from an eave.

2

Treat, then remove

Protective gear, treatment applied to the nest, removal once the colony is down.

3

Stop the rebuild

We treat the area so the next queen picks somewhere else.

Why you should not spray a nest yourself

A can of wasp spray reaches a nest on an open eave, sometimes. It does not reach a colony inside a soffit or a wall, and a partial treatment turns a defensive colony into an aggressive one. Yellow jackets in particular will chase and sting repeatedly.

Wasps also matter outside the house, since they eat other insects. What we treat is the nest that sits over a doorway, a play area or a grill, where somebody is going to get stung. Nests away from traffic can often be left alone.

Allergic to stings? Say so when you call. We handle those nests first and keep everyone away from the area until it is done.

Nest by the front door?

Send a photo if you can do it safely. We will tell you what it is and when we can be there.

Wasp questions we hear every week

Is it safe to knock down a wasp nest myself?
No. A partial treatment makes the colony aggressive, and yellow jackets will sting repeatedly. Nests inside walls or soffits cannot be reached with a spray can.
How fast can you remove a wasp nest?
Most nests are handled on the same or the next visit. Nests near a door, a playset or a grill get priority.
Will the wasps come back to the same place?
They will if the site is not treated. Sheltered corners get reused season after season, which is why we treat the spot after removal.
What is the difference between a wasp and a mud dauber?
Mud daubers build small tubes of mud and rarely sting. Paper wasps build open combs under eaves, and yellow jackets often nest in the ground or in wall voids.
Are wasp treatments safe around children and pets?
Yes. We keep everyone away during the treatment and tell you when the area is clear to use again.

More about wasps in Southwest Florida

Wasps are a significant disruption to outdoor living and a legitimate safety concern for property owners in the Florida Suncoast. In the warm climate of Manatee and Sarasota Counties, wasps actively build nests under eaves, inside attics, and within crawl spaces to stay cool and dry. Kinder Safe Pest Solutions utilizes 20 years of analytical expertise to locate and eliminate these colonies, ensuring your patios and backyards remain safe for family gatherings and outdoor activities.

A wasp infestation is a high-priority situation due to the aggressive nature of certain species. Unlike honeybees, wasps can sting multiple times, and an attack from a disturbed nest can involve dozens of insects. When a wasp feels threatened, it releases a chemical pheromone that signals the rest of the colony to attack. For individuals with allergies, even a single sting can lead to life-threatening complications. Our team responds with a sense of urgency to resolve this "pest trauma" before a minor sighting turns into a dangerous encounter.

Common Types of Wasps in the Florida Suncoast

Correct identification is essential for a safe removal process. We specialize in the eradication of the most common stinging insects found in our service area:

  • Yellow Jackets: Highly aggressive wasps that often nest in wall voids or underground. They are known for their persistence and ability to swarm quickly.
  • Paper Wasps: These typically build umbrella-shaped nests under eaves and door frames. While less aggressive than yellow jackets, they will defend their nest if approached.
  • Cicada Killers: Large, intimidating wasps that burrow into the ground. Although they are solitary and less likely to sting, their size and presence can be distressing for homeowners.

The Professional Advantage in Wasp Management

Attempting to remove a wasp nest with retail sprays is a common cause of injury. Most DIY products require the user to be in close proximity to the nest, increasing the risk of being swarmed. Our professional strategy involves a complete structural audit to identify all active and dormant nesting sites. We typically perform exterminations during specific windows when the colony is most vulnerable, ensuring the total elimination of the queen and the workers.

Our "Safe for Kids and Pets" philosophy means we use professional-grade treatments that are effective against stinging insects while remaining responsible for your household environment. With more than 20 years of industry experience, we provide the technical precision needed to clear your property and prevent future nesting in the same locations.
